Some Legislators, Special Interest Advocates, pastors, regular chaps and pronoun-of-choice people would take away personal firearms because someone might shoot other people. We could ban cars because some people drive recklessly. Airplanes are inherently dangerous, Planes crash, passengers die. It would be irrational to ban airplanes. Or red meat. Football. Thrill rides. It Would Be An Invitation To Tyranny for “Us, the American People” to allow America’s regulators to have carte blanche lawful power to ban things they think are dangerous to Americans. Risk is part of life. Our legislators don’t need lawful power to prevent us from taking risks.
