“[If Parliament] may take from me one shilling in the pound, what security have I for the other nineteen?”
~ Richard Henry Lee
Inaccuracy In Reporting May Not Be “Our, the American People’s’” press fault. Media is running an article reporting significant differences between a state gubernatorial jobs gains report and a federal report saying same state had more than 150K job losses during same reporting period. Article notes government tends to release optimistic preliminary surveys, then revises downward on verification.
“Christmas is a time when kids tell Santa what they want and adults pay for it. Deficits are when adults tell the government what they want and their kids pay for it.”
~ Richard Lamm
“We, the American People” have reason to suspect positive reports from government offices on touchy socio-economic maters at hand are impacted by government action. Government jobs, especially elected official jobs, can be won or lost based on how situation reporting goes. Stands to reason government officials would want to report good news. Bad idea having to turn positive to negative.
“Washington is not America. It has become an alien city-state that rules America, and much of the rest of the world, in the way that Rome ruled the Roman Empire.”
~ Richard Maybury
Knowing Public Information Accuracy is verifiable when released would go a long way toward improving government credibility – credibility for any organization or situation news covers. Unreliable information on government action affecting people’s lives is grounds for distrust. Distrust of government fertilizes suspicion and resentment. Accurate information underpins sound decisions.
“Far from failing in its intended task, our educational system is in fact succeeding magnificently, because its aim is to keep the American people thoughtless enough to go on supporting the system.”
~ Richard Mitchell
Intentional Disinformation, Misinformation distraction, fake news are common ways used to discredit about anything someone uses grinding protest axes. No simple task choosing reliable information sources. Not smart for “Us, the American People” to take information accuracy for granted when, say, a presidential secretary is doing a press conference on polemic matters presidents are to fix.
“We are NOT born free. We are born in the chains of the random and the reflexive, and are ignorant and unreasonable by simple nature. We must learn to be free, to organize the random and detect the reflexive, to acquire the knowledge of particulars and the powers of reason.”
~ Richard Mitchell
People Intending To Live In Liberty do not allow legislators – or other public officials within These United States of America, to infringe upon Americans’ 1st Amendment rights or other Bill-of-Rights protections; nor do they allow blame for another person’s behavior to be ascribed to their freedom to exercise their rights. They retain their heritage of self-government.
“Don’t take things that don’t belong to you.”

“[T]he tax code has been piling up, year after year, a symbol of everything gone wrong in America, of arrogant rulers and lost freedom, just waiting for us to pick the whole thing up and heave it away. It has to happen. Free people can put up with such laws only for so long.”
~ Richard Armey
Bah, Humbug From President-to-be Donald J. Trump’s Health and Human Services (HHS) Chief pick, Robart F. Kennedy (RFK), Jr. Media has it RFK, Jr, were he to become HHS #1 would keep “Us, the American People” from partaking of some 27 holiday treats. Provided Americans – who are members of a sovereign citizenry, decide they’re going to go along with RTFK, Jr.’s impulse to ban.
“Look not to the politicians; look to yourselves.”
~ Richard Cobden
Doesn’t Matter Much Any Particular Holiday treat is on RFK, Jr. would-be ban, should he get to be HHS Chief. It matters a lot for “Us, the American People” not to storm his office and send him packing if “We, the American People” find RKF, Jr. is acting contrary to how we expect a presidential cabinet secretary to act. We need keep in mind who works for whom, us for government, government for us.
“In a free society, standards of public morality can be measured only by whether physical coercion — violence against persons or property — occurs. There is no right not to be offended by words, actions or symbols.”
~ Richard E. Sincere, Jr.
There’s Nothing Fundamentally Wrong with government agencies keeping an eye out for public safety. There’s a big, big difference between government issuing advisories on studies finding carcinogens in foodstuffs, or, finding bacterial contamination at dangerous levels, and government agencies having power to ban foodstuffs on personal attitudes, values, and beliefs (PAVB) grounds.
“In the hands of the state, compulsory public education becomes a tool for political control and manipulation — a prime instrument for the thought police of the society.”
~ Richard Eberling
“Our, the American People’s” doctors don’t have lawful power to keep us from eating foods they, doctors, find are unhealthful. Doctors can present us with factual evidence; we are left to take their advice or ignore it. Government is different. Government has lawful power to forbid us from eating anything government thinks, based on officials’ PAVB or other information. Power to restrict choice.
“It must never be forgotten…that the liberties of the people are not so safe under the gracious manner of government as by the limitation of power.”
~ Richard Henry Lee
People Set Upon Living In Liberty do not allow legislators – or other public officials within These United States of America, to cause any citizen to be drawn into an obligation to assume responsibility for public debt for reasons other than to defend these United States. They prohibit government from putting them at financial risk.
“To preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of the people always possess arms and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them.”

“What you do speaks so loud that I cannot hear what you say.”
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
“We, the American People” who are Election 2024 losers are desperately looking for ways to explain why we lost. Congressional legislators who are still licking their Election 2024 wounds have introduced legislation to do away with America’s Electoral College (EC). Their rationale, according to media coverage, is America’s EC system is woefully antiquated and disenfranchises millions of voters.
Ramsey Clark
“A right is not what someone gives you; it’s what no one can take from you.”
~ Ramsey Clark
Whenever An American Presidential candidate wins EC tally but falls short of popular vote majority tally, popular vote winner and backers demand EC \vote be barred or otherwise rendered ineffective so popular vote winner is declared presidential winner. It would not be illogical to surmise popular vote camp believes voters will cast ballots for presidential candidate offering most from public coffers.
“The machinery of government sets and enforces the drastic penalties; the minorities are either intimidated into silence, or brought slowly around by a subtle process of persuasion which may seem to them really to be converting them.”
~ Randolph Bourne
Whether America’s EC Sticks Around is not likely to have much effect on legislative election outcomes. Voters need only be convinced they will benefit more based on for whom they cast their votes. Even if voter expectations are not met, election winners need only convince voters they (election winners) could not deliver on their promises because of obstruction from people who opposed them.
“Monetary policy today is guided by little more than government fiat — by the calculations, often mistaken economic theories, and whims of central bankers or, even worse, politicians. ”
~ Raymond J. Keating
Who Wins Legislative Elections, EC versus popular vote, term limits, and like agitation topics are distractions. “Our, the American People’s” attention and sovereign citizenry clout would better serve our vitality and grip on freedom by clamping down on legislative authority. It would be better for Liberty if we decentralized lawful authority to America’s lowest political subdivisions. Home rule.
“There are three schoolmasters for everybody that will employ them–the senses, intelligent companions, and books.”
~ Henry Ward Beecher
People Serious About Living In Liberty do not allow legislators – or other public officials within These United States of America, to define or limit their 10th Amendment powers beyond Constitutional constraint. They exercise self-government to preserve their life, liberty, pursuit of happiness, and property.
“Government is saying to the average citizen every January 1: ‘For the next five months you’ll be working for us, for goals we shall determine. Is that clear?”
~ Richard Armey

“In dealing with the State, we ought to remember that its institutions are not aboriginal, though they existed before we were born; that they are not superior to the citizen; that every one of them was once the act of a single man; every law and usage was a man’s expedient to meet a particular case; that they all are imitable, all alterable; we may make as good; we may make better.”
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
“Our, the American People’s” President-to-be, Donald J. Trump, has laid down his gauntlet on nominees. Media report President-Elect Donald J. has told Senate GOP legislators, in clearest of terms, no deal with democrats on fast-track nominees. Could be a political Mexican standoff, once Inauguration Day 3035 is in America’s presidential history books. Signs of interesting times ahead.
“Liberty is a slow fruit.”
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
“We, the American People,” those of us who’ve not gone to good schools, or otherwise gotten a handle on American-style government, may have a surprise coming when Congressional Senate legislators not completely happy with President-to-be Donald J.’s boisterous style hamper his ability to get his, shall we say, MAGA.2’ agenda through Congress LASER-like fast. Congress is a deliberative body.
“A man’s library is a sort of harem.”
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
Push-Come-To-Shove, Congress may not end up being President-to-be Donald J. Trump’s biggest hurdle. America’s sovereign Citizenry last say on all government matters is “Us, the American People.” Provided we have gumption to exert our authority to keep a tight rein on legislators (including America’s presidents) who act as though they are not constrained by sovereign citizenry approval.
“Nothing is more disgusting than the crowing about liberty by slaves, as most men are, and the flippant mistaking for freedom of some paper preamble like a Declaration of Independence, or the statute right to vote, by those who have never dared to think or to act.”
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
Practically Speaking, It Is Rare for us to act like sovereign citizens when legislators start flexing their positional lawful authority beyond upholding Constitutional precepts and protections. Our modus operandi is to wait around for an election to run errant legislators out of town. We need not wait. Our authority to dismiss bad legislative actors is superior to all governmental authority. If we act on it.
“Liberty is slow fruit.”
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
People Determined To Live In Liberty do not allow legislators – or other public officials within These United States of America, to interfere in health matters between private citizens and their physicians. They prohibit government from intruding on their privacy.
